Terms and ConditionsThese terms will apply to your use of our on-line service, whether or not you choose to take out insurance cover and access to our website demonstrates your agreement to these terms. We may change these terms of use at any time and will display only the current version on our website. If you access our website or use our online cover service after we have changed these conditions you will be accepting the changed versions. The Financial Services AuthorityExpress Insurance Services Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA), the independent watchdog that regulates Financial Services. Our FSA Registration number is 311354. Our ServiceOur role is to assess your insurance needs and offer a suitable policy which satisfies those needs. In situations where we are able to arrange insurance for you and either make recommendations or offer advice, we shall confirm the position to you in writing. We will not in any circumstances act as an insurer nor guarantee or warrant the solvency of any insurer. You understand that these Terms and Conditions, together with your Proposal Form or Statement of Facts, establish the basis of your contract with Express Insurance, whom you have appointed as your independent intermediary. Personal Insurance:We select motor insurance products from a limited range of insurers. A full list of insurers is available on request. A single provider is used for each of our optional extra policies. Payment of our servicesWe normally receive commission from the insurers or product providers with whom we deal and may make charges upto the following amounts for handling your insurances:
When your policy is arranged you will be informed of the total price to be paid, including any fees, taxes and charges separately from the premium, before your insurance arrangements are concluded. This will also be displayed within your welcome documentation. Handling Client Money and/or Insurer MoneyWe collect and hold money as agent of the insurer/policy provider. We will not pay you the amount of any interest that we earn from investing your money before paying it to the insurer. Provision of CoverCover cannot be granted in the absence of premium payment, or part thereof. In the event of an initial payment not being authorised, cover may not be deemed to have been afforded in any way. It remains your responsibility therefore to ensure that sufficient funds are available so that cover may commence. Your ResponsibilitiesYou are responsible for providing complete and accurate information, which insurers require in connection with any proposal for insurance cover. This is particularly important before taking out a policy and at renewal, but it also applies throughout the life of a policy. When obtaining quotations through this website, if you fail to disclose any material fact or other information material to the insurance this could invalidate the policy and mean that claims may not be paid. You should check all details on any proposal form or Statement of Facts and pay particular attention to any declaration you may be asked to sign. Agreed Procedure
Instalment TermsWhere you have selected to pay via a payment plan, the deposit paid represents cover that has been afforded to you and the whole of the annual premium will be paid to the insurance company by Express Insurance and will be funded by Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander Premium Finance. Failure to make instalment payments may ultimately lead to the cancellation of your policy. Complaints and CompensationWe aim to provide you with a high level of customer service at all times, but if you are not satisfied, please contact our Sales Support department on 0845 330 3351 who will advise you how to proceed. Cancellation of InsurancesYou should make any request for the cancellation of a policy in writing and any relevant certificate of insurance should be returned to us or to the insurer concerned. In the event of cancellation, charges for our services will apply in accordance with our schedule of charges. The terms of your policy may allow insurers to retain the premium in full or to charge short-period premiums in the event of cancellation. Details of how your insurer charges for cancellation will be shown in your policy document. Personal Data & the Data Protection ActAll personal information is treated by us as confidential and is processed in accordance with the relevant legislation. We will not use or disclose personal information without your consent, other than in the normal course of arranging and administering your insurances, except where we are compelled by law (including by regulators or law enforcement agencies) to disclose such information.
